At Bookboon.com you can legally download many free books for students and travel guides in PDF format. All the books can be downloaded without registration. To finance the project ads are embedded into the PDFs every other page.

Bookboon.com is a website that provides users with free ebooks in various subjects. Currently two main areas are covered guide books and textbooks for bachelor's, master's and graduate students. It is owned and operated by Danish publishing house Ventus Publishing Aps.
The textbooks are written by university professors and lecturers, targeted at engineering, IT, economy and business students. On every third page there is a half page advertisement. The ebooks are meant as a supplement of the regular course curriculum, and are as such not directly applicable by the education institution. The books are exclusively written for bookboon.com and are therefore only available on the website.
The annual download rate of the books is claimed to be in excess of two million.
